Clinical Trials

In 1993, the founders of Tennessee Oncology cultivated a new concept; to bring cancer research and clinical trials to the community instead of to large academic facilities. A close association with the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is key to achieving one of the largest community-based research networks in the country. Many Tennessee Oncology physicians are directors for SCRI, providing international leadership in several research programs. Through a collaboration with SCRI, both Tennessee Oncology clinics and patients gain access to cutting-edge clinical trials.
