Jeff Patton, MD, CEO, TENNESSEE ONCOLOGY

Happy fall everyone! November is a busy month for the Patton household. In addition to the holiday, we celebrate 3 birthdays; Mary on the first, me on the 25th and Ashley on the 28th. Hope Evan is saving his pennies for birthday and Christmas gifts.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a great time of gathering with family and friends and a great opportunity to reflect on areas in which we are grateful. This quote from Oprah Winfrey is one of my favorites:

“Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more.
If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”

Every day in upholding the mission of Tennessee Oncology, each of us has the privilege of caring for cancer patients. We should never take this opportunity for granted. Our routine daily activities have great impact on the lives of our patients and their families. Please make this Thanksgiving a time to reflect on areas in your life for which you are thankful. I hope that the opportunity to care and serve our patients, are among the things for which you give thanks. At the end of each day, being able to make a difference in the lives of others is a precious gift. I am thankful for each of you and all the work you do.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving,

Jeff
