The 340B Drug Pricing Program is meant to provide patients in need or patients in lower income areas with access to prescription drugs at significantly discounted prices. The current structure of the 340B program allows hospitals to reap massive profits by purchasing drugs at a discount, then keeping those profits instead of passing them on to the patients who need them.
