Two hundred area schoolchildren will go shopping for seasonal essentials on Monday with monies raised by the 21st annual Karing for Kids campaign.
As of Tuesday morning, following a $500 donation by Dr. Mainuddin Ahmed of Tennessee Oncology, that effort had raised $13,851 – falling $6,149 short of its $20,000 goal with only days remaining.
