Tennessee Oncology announces the addition of Stephen Golder, M.D., to the team as a radiation oncologist. He will care for patients at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Dr. Golder will treat Tennessee oncology patients using radiation therapy. He has been the medical director for eight years at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Parkridge Medical Center. He has also served as chairman of the facility’s cancer committee. Dr. Golder treated patients at Radiation Oncology Centers, a long-established community based practice in Florida, before coming to Tennessee. He has a special interest in prostate cancer with approximately 25 years of experience in transperineal ultrasound guided prostate seed implantation.
Dr. Golder graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed a rotating oncology internship, as well as a radiation oncology residency in the Division of Radiation Therapy at Shands Teaching Hospitals and Clinics in Gainesville, Fl. He was chief resident, and he participated in an American Cancer Society clinical fellowship.
Dr. Golder is board certified in therapeutic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is an active member in several professional societies including: College of Radiology, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Cancer Society, Chattanooga and Hamilton County Medical Society and Chattanooga Regional Oncology Association.
