Dr. John G. Phillips leads Tennessee Oncology’s radiation oncology centers with decades of experience in delivering precise, targeted cancer treatment. His expertise in external beam radiation therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), brachytherapy, and proton therapy has helped countless patients achieve optimal outcomes while maintaining quality of life.
As a strong advocate for the latest treatment advances, Dr. Phillips has been instrumental in bringing proton therapy to Tennessee through the Tennessee Oncology Proton Center in Franklin. He works closely with medical oncologists and other specialists to ensure that every patient receives a truly coordinated, multidisciplinary treatment approach.
Radiation therapy requires precision, but it also requires compassion. My goal is to deliver highly accurate, targeted treatment while minimizing impact on healthy tissues; allowing my patients to maintain their quality of life throughout and after treatment.
I’m deeply committed to advancing the field and ensuring my patients have access to the newest technology. The addition of proton therapy to our GU cancer program represents that commitment. Whether a patient needs external beam radiation, SBRT, brachytherapy, or proton therapy, we evaluate each case individually to determine the best approach for their specific diagnosis and clinical situation.
