Expert Prostate Cancer Treatment, Close to Home

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American men. Our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care from active surveillance to advanced therapies like proton therapy and Pluvicto (Lu-177 PSMA). We offer advanced biomarker assessment such as imaging with PSMA PET and precision medicine capabilities including genetic testing of tumor and inheritable traits, matched to your specific diagnosis and stage.

Understanding Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer Basics

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American men aside from skin cancer. An estimated 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. Early-stage disease is frequently asymptomatic, which is why both screening conversations and awareness of subtle symptom changes matter. Our team specializes in risk stratification, genetic testing, and the full spectrum of modern treatment options.

Early Signs of Prostate Cancer

Early prostate cancer often causes no symptoms. When signs appear, they typically involve urinary changes. Any new or persistent urinary symptom should be evaluated by a doctor.

Possible Signs
  • Weak or slow urinary stream
  • Increased urinary frequency, especially at night
  • Difficulty starting or stopping urination
  • Blood in urine or semen
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Elevated PSA levels
Important to Know

These symptoms are considerably more likely to result from an enlarged prostate or infection than cancer, but persistent symptoms should be evaluated. Our team uses PSA screening, genetic testing, biopsy, and advanced imaging to confirm diagnosis and guide treatment decisions.

Prostate Cancer Treatment Options

Treatment for prostate cancer depends on stage, grade, genetic findings, and patient factors. Our multidisciplinary team discusses all guideline-recommended options:

  • Active Surveillance
  • Robotic Prostatectomy
  • External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT)
  • Proton Therapy
  • Brachytherapy
  • Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT)
  • Androgen Receptor Pathway Inhibitors (ARPI)
  • Chemotherapy
  • Pluvicto (Lu-177 PSMA)
  • PARP Inhibitors
  • Bone Supportive Therapy
  • Clinical Trials
Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Prostate Cancer

Is a weak urinary stream always prostate cancer?
No. A weak stream can result from enlarged prostate, urinary tract infection, or medications. However, any new or persistent urinary changes should be evaluated by a physician.
What is the PSA test and how often should I get one?
PSA (prostate-specific antigen) is a protein produced by the prostate. Elevated levels may indicate cancer, but also can result from infection or enlarged prostate. Screening decisions should be made in discussion with your physician based on age and risk factors.
What does it mean if I have biochemical recurrence after prostatectomy?
Biochemical recurrence (rising PSA after surgery) is relatively common. PSMA PET imaging can help identify if recurrence is localized or systemic, which guides treatment decisions. Many cases can be managed effectively with targeted therapy or radiation.
Am I eligible for Pluvicto?
Pluvicto is currently approved for PSMA PET positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
